1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using finTrack (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms apply to all users — including visitors, free-plan users, and paying subscribers. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

finTrack is an AI-powered financial management application designed to help Sri Lankan entrepreneurs and SMBs with bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, tax management (including WHT compliance), and financial reporting.

3. Subscription, Billing & Payment

finTrack offers a Free plan and paid plans (Pro and Business). All payments are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. Your billing statement will show a charge from Paddle.com.

• Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal.
• A 14-day money-back guarantee applies to the first payment of any new paid subscription.
• You may cancel at any time via the Billing & Plan page in the application.
• Upon cancellation, paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time.
• Prices are in USD. Paddle handles currency conversion and applicable taxes.

4. User Responsibilities

• Data Backups: You are responsible for backing up your data. We strongly recommend using the built-in Export or Google Drive Backup features regularly.
• Device Security: Since data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your browser and device.
• Data Loss: We are not liable for data loss caused by clearing browser storage, device failure, or malware.
• Accurate Information: You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial information you enter into finTrack. The Service is a tool — not a substitute for professional accounting advice.

5. No Advisory Relationship

finTrack is a decision-support tool designed and developed under the guidance of qualified accounting and legal professionals. However, use of the Service does not create an accountant-client or attorney-client relationship between you and finTrack.

6. Google Drive Integration

If you enable Google Drive Backup, you grant finTrack permission to read and write within a private app-only folder in your Google Drive. We cannot access any other files in your Drive. This feature is subject to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, and content within finTrack are the intellectual property of finTrack and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal or business financial management. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute any part of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, finTrack and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to finTrack in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the application or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
